My Story
My work is rooted in a simple but powerful belief: every family deserves to feel informed, respected, supported, and confident in the decisions they make.
My passion for birth began through my own journey as a mother of four. I have experienced four unmedicated births in four completely different settings — a hospital birth, an unexpected car birth, a birth center birth, and a home birth. Each experience taught me something different about birth, preparation, flexibility, advocacy, and trusting your instincts.
Those experiences ultimately led me to birth work. Today, I support families throughout Orange County during pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum. I help parents understand their options, prepare for the unexpected, communicate confidently with their care team, and create a birth plan that reflects what truly matters to them.
I don’t believe there is one “right” way to give birth. I believe the right experience is one in which you understand your choices and remain an active participant in your own care. My role is never to make decisions for you — it is to make sure you have the education, tools, and steady support you need to make those decisions for yourself.
"Your medical team focuses on the clinical aspects of birth.
My role is to focus on you - providing comfort, guidance, encouragement, and steady support throughout the experience."
Why I Wrote Birth With Confidence
Through my work, I also recognized that traditional doula packages can be financially out of reach for some families. The personal guidance and continuous support of a doula are absolutely worth the investment, but I wanted to create an affordable way to reach families who may not be able to hire a birth doula — or who simply want additional preparation and education.
That inspired me to write Birth With Confidence.
The book walks families through pregnancy, birth preparation, common interventions, and decisions they may not even realize they will be asked to make. It explains available options in clear, approachable language so parents can prepare before they are faced with important choices during labor.
With this guided book I also created an option for more personalized support. After reviewing your intake form, I can help you develop an individualized birth plan based on your pregnancy, preferences, concerns, and goals — giving you access to professional doula guidance as you prepare for birth.
My greater purpose extends far beyond the birth room. I want every mother and family to feel empowered to lead their home, trust themselves, ask meaningful questions, and make the decisions they believe are best for their family.
Beyond the Birth Room
When I’m not supporting families, I’m usually busy raising my own. I’m a homeschooling mother of four, a soccer mom, an animal lover, and a foster dog mom. Family is at the center of everything I do, and I love creating experiences and memories with the people I love most.
I’m happiest outside — horseback riding, camping, caring for animals, attending outdoor concerts, and enjoying time in nature. I love 90s music, thrifting, and watching European football.
My life is full, active, and often a little adventurous and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Whether I’m supporting a mother through labor, helping a family prepare for birth, caring for an animal, or spending time outdoors with my family, nurturing others has always come naturally to me. Staying calm through chaos is one of my superpowers.
It is an honor to be welcomed into such an important and personal season of a family’s life.
My goal is for every family I work with to leave our time together feeling more knowledgeable, more capable, and truly confident in the choices they make.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between your childbirth classes?
Each class is designed to meet you where you are in your pregnancy and preparation.
The 6-week Preparing for Birth course is the most comprehensive and ideal for first-time mothers or families who want full, in-depth preparation.
The MINI course is a condensed version that covers the essentials in a shorter format, perfect for busy families or those wanting a strong foundation without a long commitment.
The Hospital Birth Course focuses specifically on navigating a hospital experience, while the Out-of-Hospital Course is designed for home birth and birth center families who want a more natural, physiologic approach to birth.
When should I take a childbirth class?
Most families take a class between 20–34 weeks, but it’s never too early to start learning.
If you’re later in pregnancy, the MINI or one-day courses are a great option to help you feel prepared quickly without overwhelm.
Do you offer virtual childbirth classes?
Yes. Depending on the course, options may be available in-person in Orange County or virtually, allowing you to learn from the comfort of your home.
What does a birth doula do?
A birth doula provides continuous emotional, physical, and informational support during labor and birth.
This includes:
• Comfort measures and positioning
• Guidance through labor progress
• Support for your partner
• Help navigating decisions and communication
• A calming, steady presence throughout your experience
Do you support hospital births, home births, and birth centers?
Yes. I support all birth settings including:
• Hospitals
• Birth centers
• Home births
My role is to support you, your preferences, and your experience — not to push a specific type of birth.
What is included in your postpartum doula support?
Postpartum support is designed to help you transition into motherhood with more ease and less overwhelm.
This may include:
• Newborn care support
• Breastfeeding guidance
• Emotional support
• Light household help
• Meal preparation
• Rest support so you can recover
What is placenta encapsulation and what are the benefits?
Placenta encapsulation is the process of preparing your placenta into capsules after birth.
Many mothers choose this for potential benefits such as:
• Supporting postpartum recovery
• Helping with energy levels
• Supporting mood balance
• Replenishing nutrients
I offer both traditional (steamed with herbs) and raw dehydration methods so you can choose what aligns best with you.
When do I need to book placenta encapsulation?
It’s best to reserve your spot during pregnancy, as availability can be limited around your due date.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. Flexible payment options are available for many services. Full payment timelines will be clearly outlined so you know exactly what to expect.
What areas do you serve?
I serve families throughout Orange County, California, and surrounding areas.
Some services and education options may also be available virtually.
How do I reserve my due date or book a class?
To reserve your due date or enroll in a class:
• Reach out directly
• Schedule a consultation

What if I’m feeling overwhelmed and don’t know where to start?
That’s completely normal.
Most mothers start here — unsure of their options and wanting clarity.
That’s exactly why this support exists.
Whether you begin with a class, a consultation, or doula support, you’ll be guided step-by-step so you feel more confident, informed, and supported moving forward.
